A new name in ocean luxury

Explora Journeys is the luxury brand of MSC Group, the privately held Aponte family company that also runs MSC Cruises and one of the world’s largest shipping fleets. The brand launched in 2021 and welcomed its first ship in 2023.

The style is deliberately contemporary. The ships are all-suite, with private terraces on every accommodation, a calm modern design and a largely inclusive fare that folds in dining, drinks, gratuities and wifi rather than nickel-and-diming the day.

All-suite, every one with a terrace

Every accommodation aboard EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II is a suite, and each one opens onto a private ocean-facing terrace. With around 900 guests on a ship of nearly 64,000 tons, the public spaces feel open and the pace stays calm.

The look is modern and residential rather than gilded, with natural materials, muted tones and generous glass. It reads more like a design hotel at sea than a traditional grand liner.

Largely inclusive, at ease

Explora keeps the experience largely inclusive. A spread of restaurants across cuisines, drinks throughout the day, gratuities and wifi are built into the fare, so there is little to sign for and less to think about.
